Reactor, Function V

Saturday 13th August 2005 (7pm)
Function V is a collaborative event
brought to you by the Nottingham based Reactor group, designed as a testing
ground for artists and audiences to experience interactive installation and
performance in an intimate and comedic environment. By offering the audience an
opportunity to take an active role in how the event unfolds, the possibility is
created that the choices and behaviour of those attending will determine the
shape of the show.
For the first time in Reactor history the group has decided to transport the
event away from its usual base at Reactor Towers, Nottingham and set up
residence at Birmingham’s Spectacle Gallery. Another first for the lucky
people of Birmingham City sees Reactor make the tentative move of entrusting the
event into the malevolent hands of guest curator the notorious AuntyNazi.
If you have never before experienced a Reactor Function event, take note
that this is the grand finale. You will never have this chance again, don’t
live to regret it, the clock it ticking, the wheels on fire… and Function is
about to explode.
Function V is a collaboration between artists from across the UK: Luke Ferris
& Daniel Oliver, Jonathan Waring, Nick Holloway, Katie Doubleday, Katherine
Cooper, Robin Close, Tina Carter, Joanna Callaghan, Roman Alaska, Harminder
Judge and, of course, Reactor.
